The Spiritual ISRAEL of God … THE CHURCH (the called out)

The Redemption of Jehovah's People was designed around two creations, two Adams, two covenants, two births, two exodus's, two houses, two prophets, two temples, two warfares, two promise lands, two cities, two enemies, two weapons, two kings, etc.

The 1st was a physical redemption with a literal exodus from a natural, physical bondage. Natural Israel, after the flesh,(1Co 10:8) were the Old Covenant People of God, the "children of Israel" to whom was given a natural kingdom with a LAW relationship with God. O.T. Israel after the flesh were a type and shadow of the coming N.T. kingdom.

The 2nd was a spiritual redemption with a spiritual exodus from a spiritual, bondage of sin. A spiritual Israel, after the Spirit, (Gal 4:29) a New Covenant people who were "called out" to become the "children of God" or the "sons of God" under a New Testament GRACE relationship with God, our heavenly Father, thru faith in the spiritual lamb, Christ Jesus.

This group born again(from above) of the Spirit, are the called out, the "Church" -of both Jewish & Gentile heritages; known as the Body of Jesus Christ, this ages Israel of God after the Spirit (they do not replace the natural Israel)…they are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar (purchased) people; ...Mt. Zion, ...the city of the living God, ...heavenly Jerusalem, ... the church of the firstborn, ... the church of the living God, …the pillar and ground of the truth, ...the house of Christ, ...a holy temple in the Lord, ....fellow citizens with the saints, ...the household of God, …the Israel of God…etc

The literal natural events which happened to the Old Covenant "children of Israel" were examples, figures, shadows and types for us, who are the New Covenant "children / sons of God", …the Israel of God, …the Church, …the Body of Christ. (1Cor 10:11,Heb 10:1)

The O.T. people of God, the children of Israel, experienced a physical deliverance from a natural, physical slavery and death, by faith in a natural lamb's blood over their natural door. This deliverance, rescue, or salvation brought about a natural physical Exodus from an Egyptian bondage and Slavery. Citizenship within God's family of people, the children of Israel, was by natural birth, with natural circumcision and a natural tabernacle worship. They offered natural sacrifices while living in a physical land territory which was their natural inheritance. It was common for God's people to fight natural battles using natural weapons against natural enemies to acquire and to retain the natural possessions of their inheritance which God had given them to enjoy.

However, …the N. T. people of God, the "sons of God" …the "Church" …"children of God" is open to all peoples, of all tribes and all origins of both Jewish and Gentile descent. These believers in Christ Jesus are now, not only the people of God, but are also the "sons of God or children of God" because of a spiritual deliverance from a spiritual slavery of sin by the spiritual application of the Lamb of God's blood (Christ's blood) over the spiritual door of their heart. This brought about a spiritual Exodus from the spiritual slavery to Sin.

Citizenship in God's spiritual family is now by spiritual birth from our Spirit Father (Father of spirits); ..born again from above of the water and the spirit; …a spiritual circumcision through faith in Christ, ..worshiping in the spiritual tabernacle of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, ..offering up spiritual sacrifices from our lives, in our worship, in our offerings of praise; ...as we live in a spiritual land of spiritual promises which is our spiritual inheritance; ..experiencing the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ.

Through the good news of Jesus Christ, the Jew and Gentile, were brought into this fellowship of ...one nation, ...of one body, ...by faith in one new man, …by the cross. Both Jew and Gentile are fellow-heirs of the same body and the same promises in Jesus Christ. Both Jew & Gentile are built upon the same foundational N.T. teachings of the N.T. apostles and the prophets in Jesus Christ. Both are fitly framed together into a living and growing building which has been growing since Calvary into a holy temple of the Lord.

We understand the lives, stories and prophecies of the Old Testament were and are examples and types which originally were stated unto a natural O.T. Israel of God; but, are also applicable on a spiritual level to the N.T. Israel of God of the Spiritual seed of Abraham : the Church, the called out of Jesus Christ; .... to both Jew and Gentile alike.

The O.T. Kingdom of God was inhabited by Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob's descendents …the people of God or the children of Israel. Their kingdom was constituted upon natural promises by Jehovah. Those same promises are also applicable on a spiritual level within the N.T. Kingdom of God in Christ inhabitants from all nations, races, & tribes who are known as …the children of God …the Sons of God.

This blending together of all peoples into God's N.T. Kingdom, ... into God's Holy City was seen by John in a vision written in Revelation. John saw the Bride of Jesus Christ, the Lamb's wife as a Great City, ...Holy Jerusalem, ...filled with the glory of God, brillianced with jewels. Surrounding the city is a great high wall with 12 gates, built upon 12 foundations of the apostles of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Each of the twelve gates is named after one of the tribes of natural Israel. The gates are never shut, day or night, so that all which are saved, of all the nations, can bring into this heavenly Jerusalem their glory and honor to God from all the nations 24/7/365 !

Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

Micah 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

One City. One People. One Israel of God. The Literal, Natural Jerusalem is called "Sodom & Egypt" by the God was replaced. Now dead to God's spiritual purposes…no life exists there any more! (But God's not finished with them yet!) Re 11:8 : And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

1st : a Natural, Literal Kingdom (Shadow)
2nd : a Spiritual Kingdom (Real).

1 Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

1) The Sacrificial Lamb was fulfilled in Christ, the True Lamb of God (John 1:29) John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

2) The Passover was fulfilled in Christ our True Passover (1Cor 5:7) 1 Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

3)The Unleavened Bread was fulfilled in Christ's True sincerity and truth (1 Cor 5:8) 1 Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; with unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

4)Waving Sheaf of First Fruits was fulfilled in Christ, True firstfruits. (1Cor15:23) 1 Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

5)Cloud & Sea Baptism was fulfilled in Christ's True new birth baptism (John 3:5) John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The Old Testament was written as an admonition unto the church, upon whom the ends of the (age)world are come. (1Cor 10:11) They of the Old Testament were teaching, preaching, and prophesying to simply more than their natural Old Covenant counterparts. They were preaching prophetically on a spiritual level unto us …their coming N.T. spiritual counterparts, …the Church. (1Pet 1:10-12)

1 Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world(age) are come.

1 Pe 1:10?12 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

The Old Testament was written for the Church of Jesus Christ. Its truths which were applied to the earthly, natural kingdom of Israel …are also now applied spiritually to the spiritual kingdom of Israel, a spiritual Mount Zion, a spiritual, heavenly Jerusalem; the spiritual Church (called out) of God, ….the Body Jesus Christ. Any time the natural wishes to believe in Jesus, the veil is removed for entrance into the Kingdom!

Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, v:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

The Holy Spirit spoke through the apostles and writers of the New Testament constantly referring to and quoting from the Old Testament scriptures to support, explain, and confirm their doctrines and teachings to the Church about Christ. Old Testament passages which were originally written to the natural Israel kingdom, were used also by the Holy Spirit as the Spirit spoke spiritually to the Spiritual kingdom of Israel: which the spiritual called-out (church) are the now the residents.

This was Never with apology, but always with assurance. The New Testament is not only sprinkled with quotations and references to Old Testament passages, but the N.T. is woven and interlaced with the O.T. as a skillfully designed garment.

All one has to do is count the New Testament marginal references to the Old Testament. Hundreds upon hundreds from Matthew to Revelation, all expressed by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In time, the Teaching Spirit of Christ shows us it is truly one whole Bible in two covenants written for ..1st the Earthly, Natural Kingdom of Israel and for us; 2nd the Heavenly, Spiritual Kingdom God : His Church, the Israel of God. (Gal 6:16)

Gal 6:16 as walk according to this rule, peace.., and mercy,upon the Israel of God. In scripture God follows this simple pattern : The Natural comes First and is a Pattern of the Spiritual which comes Second. (1Cor 15:46)

1 Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. First came the Old natural creation, then 2nd came the New Spiritual Creation. First came an earthy Adam, a living soul; second came the last Adam, a quickening spirit, the Lord from Heaven. (1Cor. 15:47)

1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

First came the Natural Canaan land of promise, second came the spiritual Canaan land of "exceeding great and precious promises". (2Pet 1:4)

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The 1st Natural : was the physical kingdom of Israel, with natural enemies, battles and warfare, offering of natural sacrifices upon a natural altar within a natural temples and a natural king upon a natural throne in natural Jerusalem.

The 2nd Spiritual : is the church, the spiritual kingdom of Israel, using spiritual weapons in spiritual warfare against the spiritual enemies of the darkness of this world. Spiritual Israel offers up spiritual sacrifices within a spiritual Temple of living stones built up a spiritual House in heavenly Jerusalem, obeying a spiritual king who sits upon a spiritual throne in the heavenlies who rules over all. God takes away the natural which occurred first that he might establish the spiritual which occurs second. (Heb 10:9)

Hebrews 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

PARALLEL KINGDOM EXPERIENCES - PURPOSES

BOTH (Flesh & Spirit) were ANOINTED TO RULE & REIGN but just as with David, ..reigning is always…in much conflict, tribulation, and even exile.

**Israel & Church were both challenged in persecutions, yet grew stronger.
**Israel ruled physically in the known world, while the Church rules spiritually turning the world upside down.

CONSIDER THIS …

**A Solomon Age of Peace came for both Kingdoms

**Peace & Prosperity came for both kingdoms yet … Prosperity & Peace lulled both to sleep.

**In peace, Solomon turned in his old age from wisdom to idolatry. In peace….the Church turned to the heathen and idolatrous practices of religion

**Both Kingdoms were robbed of their Spiritual Life relationship with Jehovah

**Israel & the Church both forgot the Lord (see Deut 6:11-12)

**The Glory of both gradually faded away.

**Solomon's beautiful Temple was destroyed The Church's beautiful spiritual temple was also destroyed.

**Spiritual Darkness came upon both. The church knew the millenium of the Dark Ages.

**Captivity came to both. Israel went into Natural Babylon. The church went to Spiritual religious Babylon Systems. Israel was physically dispersed to the four winds of the earth. The Church was spiritually dispersed among the 4 winds of religious piety & traditions.

**During Captivity, a remnant were preserved for a day of return & restoration. Ezra, Nehemiah, & Jerubabel led the natural remnant of Israel from Babylonian captivity back to the promise land of Palestine. During the last several centuries, New Testament preachers & prophets have led God's spiritual remnant back to the promises out of spiritual exile back to N.T. truths.

**A natural restoration rebuilt Jerusalem's walls, temple, and worship. A spiritual reformation and restoration has restored the churches wall's, the glory to the temple and replaced ritual with true worship from the inward man. Great trials, persecutions and sacrifice were the lot for those who fought to restore Jerusalem.

In like manner, great persecutions and battles were fought by the Reformers who preached, restoring truths back into the foundation of the church which had been lost in the dark ages of the falling away.

**There was O.T. Restoration for Natural Israel which brought Israel back to Jerusalem and their proper Mosaic Worship Patterns. There has been N.T. Restoration for the Church which has brought us back to the same gospel foundation as our N.T. counterparts preached.

**YET, Both Restorations were only Partially Effective.

In time, the O.T. people yielded to silent years without the voice of God until Christ came. He came to a ritualistic people whose religious traditions and forms superceded God's word. Their temple had become a form and a ritual, and empty of the over-shadowing Shekinah glory of God's presence. God had abandoned His natural Temple and had left them utterly desolate.

**Yet, the people who sat in darkness and the shadow of death were the ones who experienced CHRIST'S 1st APPEARING UNTO ISRAEL. His appearing was to bring into existence a NEW TEMPLE of God : the Church : the Body of Christ.

**As the veil of the natural temple was rent that day at Calvary, a new way was opened to mankind into the Holiest of Holies by the blood of Jesus. Within three days, a New Man, a New Temple, a New Body came into existence.

**A 3rd Day resurrection took place at the end of the Old Covenant, at the end of the 3rd day. Many walked the streets of Jerusalem upon their release from the shackles of death and the grave.

In like manner a spiritual resurrection and empowerment of the Holy Ghost shall occur to Christ's Spiritual Body and again on the 3rd day. A marriage in Cana on the 3rd day (John 2:1) and Christ perfected on the 3rd day (Luke 13:32) God was to revive us and raise us up on the 3rd day. (Hosea 6:2)

**The judgments of all OT. generations and ages were funneled upon that end of the Old Covenant generation which had rejected God's manifestation of Himself. (Luke 11:50) ….From the foundation of the world. The greatest judgment came upon those who were exposed to God's Greatest Glory.

**In this end-time church the same shall occur upon whom the ends of this age are come. An apostate christian religious system shall experience God's greatest wrath of great (broad-world wide) tribulation just as natural Jerusalem did at the hands of Titus.

**Again, darkness and light will co-exist. Glory yet gross darkness upon the people. To one it will be "DAY". To another it will be "NIGHT". Concurrently, at the same time!

The Church's restoration / reformation was also partial and incomplete, just as Israel's was. In time it also deteriorated into a christian religious system equally built on ritual, tradition, and forms of godliness but denying the power of God. Ornate church buildings, robed choirs, orchestras, and great preaching orators.

**Again a people sit upon the threshold of CHRIST'S APPEARING UNTO HIS PEOPLE, unto HIS CHURCH; and again darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people. Just as it happened to natural Israel at the end of the O.T.!

Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up! (John 2:19) Not Herod's 46 year building task. But his body. He had referred to the death & resurrection of a (his) natural temple (body). They destroyed his natural temple and he raised it up on the 3rd day. Christ's spiritual body or temple has also degenerated (or destroyed) into a dying religious system which will also experience a spiritual resurrection of Christ's Spiritual body in the 3rd day.

TWO BABYLONS :

2 Kings 24:15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

Ezra 5:12 But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon.

Isaiah 39:6 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

TWO BAPTISMS : Coming "Out"

1 Corinthians 10:1?2 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Colossians 2:11?12 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

TWO BAPTISMS - Entering "In"

TWO BLOODS :

Hebrews 10:18?19 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

TWO CREATIONS :

THE OLD COVENANT PASSED AWAY

Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

TWO CIRCUMCISIONS :

John 7:22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses but of the fathers;) and ye …circumcise a man.

Romans 2:28?29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

TWO ELIJAHS :

Matthew 11:13?14 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.

Matthew 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

***Spirit of Elijah has come upon the ministry and has turned the hearts of the children back to the fathers, .... the same gospel that was once delivered to the saints of Acts.
